About Us

The Gippsland Sustainability Festival will be a place where people and organisations can get together and showcase their achievements and ideas in order to raise community awarenss of sustainability in Gippsland and make sustainability accessible and achievable in the wider community.

The idea of a sustainbility festival has been supported by the Green Expectations Project which is a community arts project aimed at raising awareness and creating dialogue in the community regarding greenhouse emissions and climate change.  This is a three year project and forms part of the Generations Project which is a project funded by mulitple agencies and facilited through the Cultural Development Network. 
In summary the goals of the event are:

• Expose a range of people in Gippsland to sustainable ways of living

• Create a greater network for people working in the sustainability field in Gippsland

• Provide practical examples for people in Gippsland as to how they can reduce their ecological footprint

• Enable the future development of a sustainability festival for future years
